Breath of Fresh Air

Cabin air filters come in a wide variety, from cheap Chinese knockoffs made from recycled toilet paper to carbon impregnated versions. If you don't like recycled toilet paper (who knows if it's been used) or live in a bubble, you'll be replacing - or should be replacing - your cabin air filter so often that it's a regular expense. At the time I thought it was interesting that K&N was coming into the market. I have a K&N air filter in my Mustang Convertible and am happy with it so far. I figured that while a K&N cabin filter looks expensive at first glance, it can be washed, so after a few seasons of using filters without toilet paper, I'll pay for myself and then I'll be ahead of the game. Since I plan on keeping the Mustang until it dies or I die, it seems like a good deal in the long run (if I don't die after writing this, for example). I can't say anything about the actual air quality at the moment. Point. I have a very poor sense of smell so judging from that point of view is debatable and at this time of year I drive with the top down whenever I can so it kind of negates the chance of fresh air. However, judging by the reviews on the K&N website, it really helps! Of course, this could have come from people who have previously used recycled used toilet paper filters. ;=p
