I'm just starting to learn to weld so like many beginners I bought the cheapest/easiest welding machine in Port Freight to be able to start welding and there is no need to buy additional things (such as shielding gas, etc.). I started with what comes with it and haven't found any problems with it that I know of. But after doing some research, most people have suggested throwing the reel that came with the welder in the trash and replacing it with something better. And here I am. I finally replaced the reel a few days ago but I only use the welder for things around the house so haven't used it much yet. I will say that on only a few balls I've ridden, the "splash" is much less than before. By that I mean random bits of metal around the weld that look like little balls. Hopefully I'll have more time to weld soon and if my mind changes I'll update this review.
