We are in the process of converting a small guest room into a study/office. Since space is at a premium, I was looking for something that doubles as a footstool, a table, and a subtle splash of color. That helped. This is the perfect shade of turquoise - not too bright, but not boring either. It's strong enough for what we're going to use it for. The top is very plush, but then again - I don't actually use it for any type of sitting, so I can't comment on how comfortable it can be for long periods of time when used for sitting. Overall I am very happy with this purchase.
