Review on 📔 Strathmore 297-9-1 Hardbound Sketch Art Journal: High-Quality, 5.5" x 8.5", 192 Pages by Gelin Battle

I had another book exactly the same from another source and the paper is a little but noticeably thinner. My pen (usually a Uniball, which is heavier than a ballpoint pen) sees through a little more, scratches and bleeds a little more on the grain. I understand this is a 60lb paper SKETCH level book, it's not really designed for a pen. So remember that: 1) THIS IS NOT A PEN AND INK WEIGHT. You will need drawing paper or thicker paper for this. It's a shame because the Strathmore options drastically shorten the page count as you increase the weight. (Honestly, I would only need to add 5 pounds to the weight of this sketch!) 2) The quality of the paper has deteriorated significantly when I got my previous paper from another source about 6 months ago (so may have been printing even longer). back) and this order is probably brand new. It's thinner and less smooth than my previous one. boo!
