I bought this to fix my son's shoes, the fabric loop ripped. The knife was dull, it's not critical for me, I can sharpen it. If you try to use it right away, you may encounter some difficulties. I managed to make a hole in about 4 layers of material in the shoe and tuck a sleeve in. The rest of the tools worked great and I was able to install the hub with no problems. Overall I would recommend this socket kit if you don't mind attaching the edge to the router.
