Turned on when I connected to the network. Loaded all my trays which took a while as I had to cut the parchment paper as I wanted to dry the elderberries. I went to power on to start and wouldn't turn on again. Very inconvenient as my frozen elderberries melted in the process and I had to refreeze them to turn them into elderberry bars. Now I have to cook them in syrup instead of drying them. I sent a message to Amazon who responded quickly and tried to fix the error. When we said it wouldn't work they did a return and refund very happy with the return process but not with my wasted time and the sticky goo I went through with this machine. I have since bought another brand here at Revain and everything has worked great.
