Review on Magellan RoadMate 2035 Widescreen Navigator by Stacy Malcolm

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Excellent value for money

I've always loved the convenience of Magellan GPS. The right menu button can be reached in 1 or 2 clicks, which is less than some other models I've come across; and what you need when travelling. If you know the zip code, Magellan models require fewer steps to enter an address compared to other GPS brands. I used to have a Magellan 1200 RoadMate which I believe had better speed and accuracy in location triangulation compared to the RoadMate 2045T-LM. This model is a great buy at $89.98 - it comes with lifetime updates, voice guidance with street names, many upgrades and a larger touchscreen. Edited on July 22, 2013. Add comments below. I'm inclined to think that the routing algorithm this model uses isn't as efficient as the older Magellan 1200. At least in duplicate. The rural route was certainly shorter, but obviously speed limits and the number of signals on the route would not have made this route faster than the other option.

Pros
  • Voice guidance keeps you on the road
Cons
  • Not bad
