I bought this item because one of my German Shepherds likes to play rough. He tore more than one of my long-sleeved shirts while we were playing. When I first presented this bite arm to him, he seemed to know instinctively what to do. We're having fun and this item appears to be his new reward toy that I use with him. However, the only problem I see now is that I used it. My dog cannot bite off the sleeve completely. He looks pretty big for the size of his jaw. Now my "baby" weighs only about 85 pounds. It is on the smaller end of the German Shepherd. And I understand that this article is probably more for guard/police dog training. But for our purposes, my dog just wants to "play" with the bite. So he doesn't seem to be able to grab the sleeve really well. Although overall good. He's happy, so I'm happy.
