The instructions included didn't help a bit. My remote hasn't been programmed for the Spectrum and the instructions don't say anything about how to do it. I watched a video on Youtube to find out that you need to point the new remote at the Spectrum and simultaneously press the blue button with the horizontal lines and the 2 button directly below until the enter button flashes twice. Then my remote was programmed to the Spectrum. Now to program the remote control to the TV, turn on the TV and use the now programmed remote control and just press the blue button with the horizontal lines on it and the help screen will appear. Use the down arrow under the blue button to navigate to Settings & Support. Navigate to the "Support" button and press it and you will see the "Remote Management" option. Press this button and another screen will appear with the option "Pair remote control to TV". Follow the instructions to find your TV brand. If your TV brand is not associated with a remote control, you can enter the 5-digit remote control code for your TV. You can find the codes at Spectrum.nt/spectrumremote. hope this helps you Unfortunately I had to pair the Spectrum and TV and still have to use the real TV remote to turn the TV on, but the newly purchased remote does the rest. I can live with that.
