I bought this kit to test my new humidifier in my room. I had my doubts that placing my humidifier in the farthest corner of the room while I slept in my bed would do me any good. Even though I could feel the difference, I wanted validation. After turning these two hygrometers on, I gave them 10-15 minutes to acclimate since their readings initially differed. If their numbers matched, it matched local weather. In Las Vegas the humidity was 9-10% (so dry 🥵). I placed one next to my humidifier and the other next to my bed which is about 15 feet away. The first night I slept with the bedroom door and window wide open, and in the morning my bed was 20% humidity and the humidifier was 29%. This is how my humidifier works well even with the doors/windows open! When I slept with the windows and doors closed, my bed was at 30% humidity and the humidifier was 40%. It was 10% outside the whole time! it's interesting to see how the humidity drops and how long it lasts when the humidifier is off 😄
