My dad is hard of hearing and the maximum volume on his Chromebook is pathetic. I bought this USB speaker hoping that since he wasn't computer savvy it would be plug and play and that it would boost the volume to a level where he could hear it. I was shocked that it actually worked the way I had hoped. We plugged it in and it worked right away. The volume started coming out of the speaker instead of the laptop. It was loud enough that he could hear it. Now he can watch videos or live broadcasts and really hear! This speaker is the best! I highly recommend!
