Not bad for $$

For a set of bookshelf speakers under $60, this is great value. Attach speaker stands -> cute! Beautifully made MDF cabinets -> beautiful! A few things though. The grill covers are acoustically opaque, and when they're on, there's a noticeable reduction in high frequencies. That might be fine, but if they seem bright to you, leave them on. I noticed a slight resonance on some tracks with heavy percussion (accelerated a break that lasted about 24 hours playing the most bass-heavy music I could imagine at relatively high volumes). I removed the 4 inch speaker to see what's going on inside and I noticed there wasn't an eyelash inside. I had something from a previous project, so I cut out a 16"x16" square and glued it in there, being careful not to block the port that faces the back. The internal reflections seem to have helped, I would definitely buy them again if I needed cheap bookshelf speakers. 0G) with these speakers and a poppulse super pro DAC 707 DAC via a SPDIF connection on the TV.
