I love doing jigsaw puzzles in my covered garden in the summer. Not everyone has covers, most can be stacked, then there are there is one lid for all and it doesn't pop evenly it fits like a cap ok not ideal for outdoor work environments I cut out cardboard squares to fit these trays the tray holds 4 to 6 trays and they are big enough that I can use them straight away can start separating by color and border in cardboard trays. When I need to collect everything, I just take the trays, quickly stack them in these boxes, and voila, I've got ' I keep all your jigsaw puzzles in a safe place from storms, wind, night watering sprinklers, etc. I have to sort the jigsaw puzzles and be careful not to lose any jigsaw pieces. Working outside can be challenging for many, but it turned out much better than I imagined. So far, four of the six cases I ordered are in use and in use. I usually use two per puzzle, but depending on the size of the puzzle, I could probably get away with one because I also cut out two pieces of heavy-duty cardboard from the shipping boxes that are about 1-2 inches larger than the finished puzzles would be. Tape them together, leaving a half inch gap at the hinge end of the tape. This gives me a book-like protective cover and while I assemble the puzzle I can fold the other end of the cardboard like a closed book and put the puzzle in a safe place. Outside, I have two XL twin size sofas designed for outdoor furniture. So I also included a couple of large pillows that provide the weight to keep the puzzle book flat and closed, so to speak, and also protected from the wind and elements that might blow under the full duvet cover. Another advantage of this whole set is that I can keep a puzzle or many puzzles that I have put together for several days or weeks or even months to admire or think about putting them together. I've never glued or stored a jigsaw puzzle together and I usually put a jigsaw puzzle together and don't feel like doing that jigsaw puzzle again, but it's nice to see them from time to time before I box them back up and someone give to others. Oh, and that's another reason why two of these boxes are sometimes required is that I also find that many if not all printed boxes stay nice, clean and safe on one of these occasions. Here's what I bought them for. They also make them deeper than 3 inches but I figured they would be shallower for the tray. Now that I've used them I would consider buying a deeper set because I don't use the cases themselves to work with the puzzle pieces inside. The cards act as shelves for this. Also, I made the cardboard a little shorter to give me room to run my fingers along the trays. One side is slightly shorter than the other which can be full length. I also made about six cardboard shells ranging in size from 1/2" to 2/3' so I can work on smaller puzzle pieces and not get tired. when I want to hold them over the main puzzle to test the color a bit and where it might end up. I have some degree of arthritis in my hands and it helps when he acts up too. It's a win-win, so not just for those storing 12" x 12" paper. Think outside the box and bet you'll find plenty of things to use them for. Stay safe and find joy and fun, that you can share with everyone else. sa win win, so not just for people who store 12" x 12" paper.
