Review on πŸ“± Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 SM-T350 Touch Screen Digitizer Replacement by Andrew Kamkoff

It worked great, finally one that works! EDITED with downgrade

Finally! After several screen adjustments I finally found one that works! I'm using the new screen right now. It works great, no missed touches, what a relief. The presence of glue on the new screen is a game changer, it is applied correctly, evenly and thoroughly. If you've messed up spools of tape, you know it's a gooey mess that's hard to straighten out, doesn't bubble, and starting over is a nightmare. The stuff is awful to get out and needs to keep going evenly. And at $15, this is by far the cheapest digitizer ever! Congratulations guys I don't write many reviews but it was great you took a frustrating problem and made it solvable. I can finally turn off Show Touches, it's perfect. A few tips: make sure the frame is straight, get a good set of metal pry bars to remove all the dirt and take the time to clean everything. The razor blades appear to spread a sticky mass and can slip and cut the cable. Lift the hood, remove it. Place the flashlight parallel to your work area while scratching the frame to make the sticky balls more visible. I pre-tested the screen connector before removing the adhesive from the new screen, the connector clicked well, I checked everything when loading. Turn off, pull the foil, gently lay it on, then press and center around the entire perimeter. Remove the front foil and for $15 you're finally back in business with this awesome little label. Edit: Two things to note: a slightly thicker band can make the home button a bit more recessed, that's ok for me, I actually prefer it. I also bought through the supplier TheCoolCube. I cannot speak for other providers, experiences, etc. I will add pictures of the tools I use. The plug is for size reference only. Get a set of durable, full-size metal tools and you'll be a lot happier ------------- UPDATE: The supplier matters. I ordered a second screen and it came with no glue applied and that pain in BUTT 3M cutting the strips. It took a proper tool kit, tweezers, Xacto knife, all sorts of things and over an hour of tedious application of glue. The second was sold to SUNWAYS. I wish I could catch it or know it matters!
