This is excellent value for money. I just got it and prepped the tool with silicone lube and got acquainted with how it works, what I do with every tool I get and recommend everyone to do it. The tool is well built and definitely strong enough to get the job done. That's about the same price as a good C-clamp. The spreader plates are hardened steel, and the larger plates attach to the smaller ones with magnets. Magnets are great for this. Make sure you prepare and familiarize yourself with the tool and you shouldn't have any problems. Update 10/22/2020 The tool worked great. Tip In order for the ratchet to engage or snap into place, slight pressure must be applied to the tool blades. So when placing the plates between the caliper pistons or the piston and outer spacer, be sure to push the tooling plates together with some pressure and operate the ratchet until tight, otherwise the ratchet will not "snag" or "lock". then you have no problem pushing the brake caliper pistons through. Then press the switch and loosen the plates and simply turn back a plate to reset it. Also, as I wrote above, get ready and familiarize yourself with the tool and the switch. Much better than the C-Clip!
