This 1-1/4" brass check valve is very well made for the price. It was a lot cheaper than some of the other big brand brass check valves I reviewed. It works great with our 3 inch jug pump and maintains its flowering time between uses. The internal check valve opens to allow full 360 degree flow and is also made of brass with a stainless steel spring. I don't see the specified opening pressure. on the box, but it's low enough to work well on a well riser about 36 inches below a manual jug pump.
