Review on Toilet Master Designed Replacement Cleaners by Rolando Munoz

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Worked well for the price but after the first time it was reinforced

This will be a detailed review of how the gasket on the large toilet was replaced. The contractor put it in there and smeared the wax and before I started the bottom of the toilet was smeared with sealant and I had a feeling it wasn't going to be that easy and I was right. In addition, it is very cramped, so that the help of two people is not possible. I also ordered the Fluidmaster 7530P8 Better Than Wax Universal Toilet Gasket, which is a wax-free toilet gasket instead of a wax one, and that worked too. I had to remove the sealant, loosen the screws holding the bowl in place, and loosen the bowl completely. The wheels on the lift were a little weak and the support was bent. I was able to straighten it out as instructed and was able to complete the project, twisting was the only problem with the lifter. Remember the toilet is big. After I was done I added a 1/8" x 1.1/4" wide x 18" long steel elbow on either side and screwed them in between the wheels for support. So next time the lifting job should be absolutely perfect and be simple. However, working with a lift was easier as the toilet was larger than a normal toilet and the lift would probably have cost more if it had an extra support as steel is very expensive.

Pros
  • The toilet never goes to the floor. No wax mess to clean up, and no fighting, guessing, or hoping you'll line up your toilet screws right!
Cons
  • A small change
