Almost Perfect - Dogs

I have a 1 year old Labrador which means I share my home with a restless, always ridiculously happy Bulldozer Monster. However, I thought he was old enough to sleep with my friend in front of his kennel and removed his puppy kennel. Now he chews on everything when he thinks I've ignored him long enough to get bored. I thought I'd scooped up all the tough or even remotely interesting objects from the dog's height. Well not really, after waking up and deciding to chew and then trying to swallow a glass figurine of a horse whole, it was time to get the kennel back out for his own safety. I bought the largest kennel for my 65 lb dog because I wanted him to have legroom so he could stretch and move around. Well after installing it in my living room I feel a little silly. This is not a kennel, this is a dog apartment. It looks like a zoo exhibit in my living room, taking up a whole corner of the room. It definitely has leg room and some more. My 75 lb German Shepherd mix also occasionally crawls in to run away and nap and is too big for her too. This kennel will easily fit a dog the size of a Great Dane or Mastiff, although they may not be strong enough to hold if they really don't like kennels. In general, the stable is quite decent. The wire seems thinner than my smaller kennels which makes sense otherwise it would weigh ridiculously. Now my destroyer dog is a real test of quality: when I come home, he slaps his collar and sides with his front paws and jumps. And so far the thing is holding up flawlessly, he hasn't even bent the sides or scratched the litter box after months of Labrador tenderness. The tray is of good quality and has no signs of wear or tears yet. I feel like I'm getting my money's worth and would buy this kennel and brand again if one of my other kennels wears out. Even if it can be smaller.

Cons
  • Good But Not Great
