Review on πŸ’ Efficient Ring Size Adjuster: Universal Ring Size Reducer, Spacer & Guard for Loose Rings by Denise Davis

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Holds the ring but slides forward. May be better on rings with a wider shank.

I bought these because I lost some weight and my wedding ring came off. This is a fairly old ring with a very thin gold band. This is great for me because I have small hands. I didn't want to go down in size as my weight fluctuates and I may need to go back up. At first I thought it was great because the ring doesn't really hang around. Unfortunately, the dial moves and becomes visible from the front, spoiling the ring's appearance. I can reattach it, but I have to do it multiple times a day. It hurts a little. I'm glad I won't lose my vintage engagement ring, but visually it doesn't quite do the job. I mention the thin bar because it probably won't rotate as much on the big bar. I would say my stripe at the back is only a millimeter or two wide. It appears to be some kind of soft rubber material, so it's pretty comfortable. However, I think the slipping issue would be better solved if the material was something like soft silicone, but with a micro-textured surface that wouldn't slip on the strap. The size adjusters are transparent, but they are permanently yellow due to the turmeric I used in the chicken dish I cooked. It's okay because I have a gold ring, but it's probably better to take the ring off when you're cooking. I have also found that when applying lotion to the skin, the lotion gets between the turns of this regulator. It is easily removed by rinsing the ring under running water. Again just something worth knowing. Overall it holds my ring but due to the forward slippage I may keep looking for something better.
