Junk **** My mistake **** This is an EXCELLENT SOLDERING IRON. I bought two irons, the other was with a big zero. That's the kind of iron your father used. It works and works well. I also bought an extra rheostat this way. This gives me the ability to set the desired/exact temperature needed for the task. Love it, forgive my mistake
