I was looking for hair bows to match my daughter's fine hair. Some hair bows are too tight and painful to remove from hair, while other hair bows are either not tight enough to hold hair in place or too stiff to be easily pulled over hair. They're a little bigger and thicker than anything we've used and I thought they were too big, but I wanted to try and...they're awesome! They are very easy to use, comfortably hold my daughter's hair, easily and painlessly remove from the hair. My daughter is happy with the comfort and I am happy with the ease of use. So far these are our favorite hair bows. I don't know how they work with different hair types but they are perfect for my daughter's fine hair and sensitive scalp. We are very happy with it.
