I like the measurements from the side it gives you the exact distance to place the tip of the blade from the cast iron and the stainless steel roller is fine but there are two BIG problems. They just don't clamp ordinary woodworking chisels to the device at a 90 degree angle. The angles are just all wrong. Another problem is the brass handle for tightening the jaws. It tends to come loose and you need to use a small allen wrench to tighten the handle and how many times can you do that before it breaks. Unfortunately, aside from hundreds of expenditures for a specific sharpening station, this seems to be the only one of its kind that has any real use.
