My 12 year old son has a HUGE head. He has recently taken up riding horses to get out of the house and help a friend with her pony, but he has no plans to do so in the future. However, he needed a helmet, which he had borrowed from my friends. We didn't want to spend more than $100 on a REAL riding helmet as it would do that for a few more months and that was it. I measured the first helmet I bought using their chart but it was still too tight so they returned it. This helmet popped out and I took a chance. It's perfect! It sits very comfortably on it and the back is adjustable so it can be tightened while riding and loosened to take it off. The design is clean and elegant and you will never suspect that this is not a real riding helmet. He's comfortable in it for the entire lesson and when we're done with it he can still wear it while cycling. We are VERY satisfied with this helmet and can recommend it unreservedly.
