Review on ๐ŸŒญ MASTER FENG Sausage Stuffer: Efficient Stainless Steel Homemade Sausage Maker with 8 Stuffing Tubes by Maria Sandoval

Works great - has a few issues

Good details first, using this filler is much better and easier than using the filler attachment on my meat grinder. This makes it easy to push the meat through the tube, the speed can be regulated easily and if you pack the meat correctly in the tube, air pockets are not a problem. The included clamps keep it very secure on our desk. I just can't imagine a suction cup block (like many do) holding it in place. We've used it a number of times in the few months we've had it. Now for the issues, which are (hopefully) minor: 1) The filler came with no instructions on how to assemble or how to use it. It's not that bad as it's pretty obvious what to do. But I don't know which side of the butt/butt should face the meat or it just doesn't matter. There are two ways to install a gasket at the base of the "funnel" and I think I'm using them correctly, but I just don't know. Also, there are probably some tips on how to use, store, or get the best results that I may have missed. 2) As mentioned in some other reviews, the lid and gasket that screws onto the body to hold the funnel in place seems to be the weak link. It appears to be either hard plastic or very cheap metal. The threads are not "deep" so I'm not sure how well they will hold up or if they will fail over time. If you don't tighten this part very firmly, the seal will move and some of the meat will come out of the bottom of the hopper. As I am concerned that this part will fail at some point in the future I have tried to purchase a spare or two but can't seem to get my hands on them or even find any specs like diameter, number of threads etc. So I will keep using it and hoping for the best. It's much easier and more efficient to use filler (I think that applies to ANY filler) than to use my meat grinder (STX Turbo). If this one fails I'll buy another one, but I'm sure I can buy parts for whatever device I buy.

Pros
  • Fits many
Cons
  • Bad set
