This toaster does a great job of evenly heating both sides of both slices. The mechanism keeps the discs centered between the heating elements. Separate buttons for frozen and gluten-free bread work well. I don't have to fiddle with temperature controls to toast my frozen gluten-free bread to perfection. And someone using unfrozen wheat bread can just pop their slices in the toaster and hit the button without checking if I changed the heat setting to burn their toast and ruin their morning. A small drawer at the bottom that collects crumbs is handy for this purpose, but there are a lot of toaster parts inside that make it difficult to get out a large piece of bread that accidentally fell into the work. We spent time flipping the toaster over the sink. I recommend unplugging the toaster beforehand. If it's hot, wait for it to cool and don't use metal tools to separate the part. Plastic or rubber is better. The device is made of stainless steel, so the usual fingerprints and the like remain on it. Be prepared to clean them from time to time. I think it works, it does its job properly, so it's worth the price.
