Only the most interesting. I have this to connect my DrinkMate soda and soda to a standard 5 lb CO2 canister with a CGA320 connector. Setup and connection took 5 minutes, everything works perfectly. No additional hardware, controllers, connectors, etc. required. Just a Drinkmate (or Soda Stream would work too), that connector and a CO2 tank. There are also some discussions about it on the internet, I always had the screw valve of the CO2 bottle open. Some walkthroughs say you only have to open it when you use it, or only use the canister to refill supplier canisters, or clear the line every time you use it. While it's probably a good idea to regularly clean the lines, I haven't had to do this once since I got it a week ago, haven't lost any CO2 from the canister and haven't noticed anything in the taste etc. The quick release valve itself is a CO2 stopper so you don't need any additional equipment. The side that connects to the Drinkmate is a metal (presumably steel) screw connector replacing the plastic connector that comes with the Drinkmate. with, then a quick release valve and a brass fitting for a CO2 cylinder. Quality sparkling water on demand and worth the savings!
