Product Defect - Cabinet Hardware

I PURCHASED THIS ITEM FROM AMAZON A FEW MONTHS AGO TO REPLACE AN ORIGINAL ITEM WHICH WAS APPROX. HAS BEEN USED FOR 7 YEARS. THIS IS ONLY FOR 2 MONTHS. THE WIRE USING A SPRING IS OR BROKEN OR KNOCKING. AND WHEN THIS HAPPENS, THE CABINET DOOR WON'T CLOSE. Instead of buying this cheap product again I just removed the wire so I can close the door.
