Always have a spare with you. They usually last a few years and FRY FAST (within seconds) if you run the engine dry (no water). Mine got so hot that the plastic encased steel body got so hot that the plastic broke off and allowed the cup to spin, reducing water flow. The engine was overheated. Not my first rodeo so I tested it first and 20 minutes later we were ready for the water again. Therefore, always carry a spare wheel with you so that your trip on the lake is not ruined.
