I bought one and loved it so much that I immediately bought another one for the dual monitor effect. I really liked it: excellent image quality, excellent tilt adjustment, nice size and dimensions; they are really fantastic. until you try to work with customization settings. I can not do that. They literally made it almost impossible to work with. Instead of using this standard technology called 'buttons', they replaced it with an immensely difficult-to-use light sensor. Apparently you just swipe your fingers into the perfect position while stroking that mindless, super-sensitive touch sensor to turn it on and configure it via the settings menu. This refers to using two options, #1 and #2, to choose between options, but since there's no tactile difference, it's almost impossible to cycle through them by touching. If you look very closely, they are marked, but with dark gray on a black background. I had to wait until dawn to see it, and even my eyesight didn't deteriorate much. (I only wear glasses.) If you go too far to the right, you'll turn off the entire monitor and have to start over. Start all over. If you made the wrong choice, you entered the wrong menu and will have to start over. If you get distracted for even a second and try to go back to where you left off, the timeout expires and you must do it. Well you got the idea. What shouldn't have been longer than a minute turned into 25 minutes of my life that I'll never get back as I struggled to figure out how to make it bright enough to not strain my eyes anymore. And that's very bad: otherwise, the monitors are of exceptionally high quality. In terms of form factor, interface, and user experience, however, trying to make simple tweaks to make it a little brighter has gone from my favorite monitor purchase to a miserable experience that has resulted in unhappy buyers. Funny, all it took was a decision not to include simple buttons that allowed for a tactile feel. I just have to ask: what was the purpose of that decision? Planar, if you're reading this, I hope you'll submit it with your product development team. The next time I have to consider buying a headlamp or magnifying glass just to adjust the contrast/brightness levels of your gear, it won't be a difficult decision to find another supplier and just throw them in the trash. which one? FANTASTIC PRODUCT. They only need the eyes of a 20 year old to use after the sun goes down.
