I have regular meetings at the office. The problem with the standard desktop setup is that traditional monitors are big, bulky and completely block the view of the people you are interacting with during meetings and sessions. I was looking for a monitor that can be adjusted to lie flat when someone is sitting across from me. The Planar Helium 22" screen is the solution I was looking for. Functionality: The monitor is easy to adjust when mounted on the back, just the way I want it. No hassle and quick to set up. The Helium Stand folds back into place If you set it to the right angle for work, I'll probably rarely use it in the horizontal position, but it's always there when I need it. I have a 55" TV in my office, which I often use for work related presentation material to my co-workers and clients and being able to use this combination is perfect for my needs I love it Touch Screen: The touch screen is a bonus it's super responsive and easy to use plus it's secure .I didn't buy this monitor for the touchpad functionality but I can see how it will be useful in the future.Screen quality: I mix this profession.Vi el regular email reading, Microsoft Office work and graphic design, photography and video work. The colors and clarity of the monitor are excellent. The text is clear and bright, as are the colors. The screen is reflective, not matte. My office doesn't have much light, so reflective light isn't a problem for me. In addition, glossy screens add sharpness and contrast, which I like. Very similar to Apple laptops and iMacs. Also, the screen is bright. Out of the box, the screen is bluer, but it's easy to adjust with the Blue Light Reducer options in the menu. Works great. Another thing to look out for is the bezel. It's very thin, which gives me a wide field of view without excessive bezel size. It equates to a smaller footprint and takes up very little space on my desk. I love it. Disadvantages: The panel does not have 100% even illumination at the edges. This is common with many monitors. While not very noticeable, it can be a hindrance for people who need a very accurate monitor for design and creative work. Also, the panel has limited viewing angles on the sides, but the top and bottom viewing angles are okay, which is good given that this is a tilt monitor designed for horizontal and vertical viewing. All in all a very good monitor that suits my needs and would recommend to anyone who needs a laptop that can lay flat when needed and takes up very little desk space. Please see the attached photos of my setup and how I use it.
