I am a tour guide in Alaska and have been using this bag for work and play for about a year. The bottom line is that your stuff stays dry and it's not as expensive as similar products on the market so you're definitely getting your value. On the other hand, if you put wet items in this pocket, they will remain damp. However, I'm not giving this bag 5 stars for a number of reasons. The waterproof material has worn down in various places, leading me to believe it won't last more than a year or so. Within the first month of owning this bag, one of the plastic drawstring water bottle pouches broke. Also, the waist belt isn't big enough for a normal sized person to wear as I'm not a tall guy and it can't wrap completely around me without being noticeably constricted. Regardless, this is probably the best bag out there as you'll see triple digit prices on everything from Sea to Summit/Marmot/North Face/Arcteryx or whatever.
