We had three of them and they all worked fine

We shot down two of them in the field and you can't blame the Rolatape (when I first started buying them they were Stanley) . Either way, it's easy to use, accurate enough for what we're using it for, and long enough to be comfortable enough to walk around with until you're over 5'11" or so. It's not built, to be incredibly tall.
