The cable itself looks nice and is a decent length. However, for my purposes, which I know I've only tested, this doesn't work. The circuit board is protruding too far from the slot to install a graphics card on it. Wanted to use it on a mATX board to bring back the 1x slot, theoretically the distance from the 1x slot is about 2.5" and it has a ribbon cable that can be 7+" long. I have PCIe SSDs in my other two 16x slots between it and the end of the board. However, 7 inches wouldn't have made it possible to make a strong mount either, it wouldn't have been enough length. The circuit board on the 16x side also did not allow the card to be installed due to its height. It's about 1/8 inch too tall to fit a screw in the mount, so it wouldn't work anyway. Great theory and should work if someone puts a little more time into the design. There is no reason to expand the board. so far outside the compound, unless of course factoring in the heat which shouldn't be factored in as they are rated for temperatures up to 105C. Most people use them for bitcoin GPUs so I'm sure it's a great product. If you want to restore function to a blocked PCIe slot that's under your graphics card, this isn't a valid option and I don't think so that it still exists.
