This suit looks well tailored although it is not the right size; Length does not match torso proportions. My daughter is an average height for a 7 year old so I bought a size 8. The length barely covers her legs (almost too short) but the torso was made for a diminutive bodybuilder - no kidding. Being a surfer I'm well versed in how a wetsuit should fit (very tight). You don't want a baggy torso - it absorbs water and keeps your baby cold. The manufacturer has to adjust their patterns and add a few centimeters (at least 2-4) to the length to get a realistic size 8. I almost bought a 6 but I was afraid it would be too short (and I was right). . Rather than returning it as we bought it for a trip this week I have her wear a long sleeve rashguard underneath to hopefully keep her body warm. As it grows, we just cut off the legs and make a spring suit out of them. In my opinion the length is a size 6 and the width is closer to a size 8-9.
