Review on MYSWEETY TB6600 Stepper Driver Controller by Mark Allen

Revainrating 1 out of 5

No TB6600 in it, waste of time and money!

Totally disappointed with this product. I bought these modules with the intention of driving 2.9A Nema 23 stepper motors. At first everything was fine, although both lights (power and alarm) were on. After about 5 minutes of continuous operation of these motors, these modules suddenly stopped working (only the alarm lamp lights up, the power lamp goes out). This was giving me a huge headache, so I decided to open up these modules to see what was going on because there was no other logical reason for it. After loosening the 2 screws on the top of the case I found that these modules DO NOT have a TB6600 but a small chip. My photos show a tiny chip compared to the TB6650 in size. If you look at this module through its small air vents, you will see a piece of metal that mimics the TB6600 chip! After all these modules will certainly work fine with a very small motor (<2A) but as the description says they should have handled 2.9A of the Nema 23 easily because they have to handle 4A! Pure waste of time and money!

Pros
  • Maximum output current 4.0A of eight types
Cons
  • Doubtful
