The perfect solution for pairing a Klipsch Soundbar with Sonos

Against the advice of a Sonos sales representative, after explaining my purpose for Connect, I decided to take a chance and give it a try anyway. I'm glad I did! Situation: I have a Klipsch Soundbar SB-3 with a Bluetooth wireless subwoofer connected with an optical cable from my Sony TV. The sound is excellent, the subwoofer is powerful! Little by little I bought several Play speakers: 1, now I have 3, one in the bathroom and 2 in the bedroom. I am using Sonos speakers in my 2.1 home theater to create 5.1. For obvious reasons, Sonos is smart about pitching its products and urging you to buy the Playbar and Sub. Because I wasn't willing to spend $1400 for 2 products I already have. , I looked at Connect. It literally took 10 minutes to install, and I've got wonderful room-filling sound from my soundbar + subwoofer paired with Play:1. With a few tweaks here and there, I've also gotten the TV sound to play all speakers at the same time . I am now extremely allergic to any delay between TV picture and sound, which is what I was most concerned about, as well as any delay between different speakers, which I would not accept. a slight lag between video and audio, small enough that I can live with that. There is none between the speakers at all. Here's how it all connects: TV to connect - Headphone out to RCA in Connect to Klipsch - Optical Klipsch SB to Sub: Bluetooth Connect to Play: 1: Wifi (none of my speakers are hardwired so it all depends on existing wifi Network off I can't believe it works so well because there are so many variables and different connections but it sounds fantastic 2 cons :- As the input from the TV to the Connect is of course analog and the Connect is not the sound enriched, no 5.1 surround sound comes out of the speakers, only stereo.WLAN prompt to do everything at once, so I'm afraid another investment is on the way - Sonos Boost.Overall a great product for connecting non -Sonos with Sonos speakers Priced for a seemingly simple task, the connection seems justified by the fact that it's intelligent enough to handle audio down to the millisecond sync while using completely different connections (wireless vs. optical). Awesome and I'm $1050 richer :)
