Has worked fine for years but just got told I'm EOL and SOL

email saying Sonos no longer supports this which means there are no more updates which means that the moment one of your music services changes anything about how their API works (i.e. needs an update), you'll now have a useless brick. I have a house full of Sonos devices and won't be buying any more.

Very convenient way of listening to music, but

It's a very convenient way of listening to music, but to be honest it doesn't have the high quality audiophile sound it advertises and definitely not the same quality . like a CD. The source of supply via I Pod was noticeably better. It also doesn't work with Alexa as advertised. I think they should clarify that Alexa only works with Sonos speakers, not Sonos Connect. There are many online complaints about Alexa being unable to find and control a Sonos Connect device. The Sonos app (PC) isโ€ฆ

Be aware of audio delays when using this unit with most AV receivers. Most receivers use digital signal processing that adds audio delay and doesn't sync with any Sonos speakers you may have. Oddly, Sonos doesn't offer any settings for this, so there's no way to fix this unless you use the analogue output and set the receiver to transmit audio directly. This results in a thin, tinny sound since you can't use EQ settings. There are tons of complaints about this on the Sonos forums, but thereโ€ฆ

The perfect solution for pairing a Klipsch Soundbar with Sonos

Against the advice of a Sonos sales representative, after explaining my purpose for Connect, I decided to take a chance and give it a try anyway. I'm glad I did! Situation: I have a Klipsch Soundbar SB-3 with a Bluetooth wireless subwoofer connected with an optical cable from my Sony TV. The sound is excellent, the subwoofer is powerful! Little by little I bought several Play speakers: 1, now I have 3, one in the bathroom and 2 in the bedroom. I am using Sonos speakers in my 2.1 home theater to

Too expensive but it does exactly what I need and works flawlessly.

Like many others, I bought this unit to replace my Squeezebox infrastructure that Logitech summarily abandoned (I now have three Squeezebox -devices that collect dust). The Squeezebox platform has ALWAYS been clunky; you could never rely on it in an emergency (like a party) because you never knew if there would come another day when the device would refuse to see the LAN. Squeezebox = super squirrel. However, when it worked, the sound was excellent. That's why I stuck with it for so long. Butโ€ฆ
