Solid at first glance due to the carbon fiber handle, but the first thing that broke after cleaning the tank was a razor blade. Exactly halfway. Of course they don't have spare parts for you. Cleaning pads work on soft algae, but that's about it. The corner is almost useless as it rotates and if you try to wipe the algae with even the slightest force it will curl up. Useless. My Petsmart Top Fin with its corner scrubber took a full year to clean my 220 gallon reef tank. I'll come back to that. I also have another brand of aluminum handle razor scraper with 10 very nice extra blades that I bought from Revain. I wasn't really interested in this scraper but it has a really wide blade so the thing sounded great until it broke. . I bought this kit primarily for seaweed pads but will be going back to Top Fin products for my scraper. You get what you pay for. It's a real shame because it comes in such a professional looking box and is packaged so nicely that it's so useless.
