Bought these for myself. I'm new to the goalie position and have found that the laces method puts a lot of strain on my knees. They were tight when I first used them but loosened up pretty well. They allowed the pads to move enough and I had no knee pain, or at least very little pain, after the first ride. On my second use, I noticed during the session that my foot pad was rotating too much in either direction. I couldn't figure it out until I removed the pads. The bungee that connects the lined hook to the skate has been pulled out of the sleeve. The only thing holding my pillow in place was the bottom strap. All in all, this is a great concept. They are a bit expensive to buy and extremely overpriced considering they may need to be replaced after only a few sessions on the ice. I will keep using them until I only have one left and then they will be removed. I found a DIY toe strap method online that I will be using in the future.
