When clamping, be careful not to overtighten. Metal fittings easily break through the plastic clamping surface. In addition, the claws can fall out of the hands over time. Of course, they show up right away, so that's more annoying than anything. But to be honest. This little thing was sooooo useful to me, even besides soldering. Small things like holding a phone charger cable or holding small objects if/when fiddling with something with small parts or devices. It definitely beats the "beat it with your thumb until it goes flat" routine that I'm sure a lot of people are more than familiar with.
