bad reviews made me buy because of the price. Of course I will update my review in the long term. Most complaints relate to o-rings, washers and clamps. Well you can buy 5 for the price of this (10) but for more expensive complaints almost the same but you get clips. So I'll try my chances at this one, considering all the cons. Firstly, I'm not going to overtighten it so as not to break the plastic threads. If you're adding an O-ring to the baffle, don't over-tighten it to avoid leaks, replace the 1/4" O-rings if they leak, and finally, you don't really need clamps, but They do it . inexpensive when you need it. UPDATE: I upgraded my stars from 4 to 5. Considering what I mentioned above, this worked like a charm. No hose o-ring leaks. TIP: When choosing an o-ring for the body (bolt area) find a snug, low-friction fitment, all I need is one on the fluid side. I tried an exact fitting o-ring first and it leaked so I replaced it with a tighter one and it worked. I just used a cheap HF o-ring. Another tip: to remove the quick release so you can access the o-ring, I simply used a blunt, pointed tool to pry one side past the gap and while holding it, I jabbed the opposite one side into the gap and pulled it out easily. I used an ear pick to remove the o-ring to avoid damaging it. I didn't need the o-ring on the water side so I removed it for future use. Photos attached, hydroponic bucket water level out of this and quickly connect the knee. As this will be a durable item I used silicone for the external connections. Works leak-free with the original O-ring!
