Review on 🐉 YA OTTA PINATA Green Dragon Party Pinata by Michael Richardson

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Not What I Expected

This pinata has been a disappointment since it arrived. First it was packaged in a very thin box, so the dragon's wings, tail and legs were folded and broken to fit in the box. Although I hung it up 2 weeks before the party, they never fully opened. Also, the dragon's arms and eyes were positioned differently than in the picture. It might not seem like much, but the difference is that the dragon actually appeared like it was laying down and trying to sleep instead of being some kind of feral. I wanted to use the kite as a heart before the beating started, but the only position I could get him to stay in was sleeping on his stomach, which was extremely lame. Most importantly, this pinata is SMALL. The only open space to fill with candy is the body cavity, which only fits 2 small handfuls of candy. And that, although I fill them to the last seat. I also made a hole in his throat to stuff another small handful but it still wasn't enough for a group of 9 kids. Unless each child only got 2 sweets. And there are no other cavities to put candy. After all, it was impossible for children to break this piñata, although this seems to be the norm for piñatas today. An overzealous 9-year-old slammed this piñata with all his might after throwing it to the ground and didn't even smash it. It took a 21-year-old baseball player to strategically hit him in the neck to break it. Then I had to open the body cavity. Generally the kids didn't notice the difference, thought the dragon was cute and got their candy, but cute wasn't what I wanted. I would definitely not recommend this purchase.
