Review on Continental IceContact 3 215/65 R16 102T Winter by Stanislaw Kobylka (S ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Not a bad purchase, worth the money.

Fairly quiet tires, it is comfortable to ride on the highway. Before that, there were Nokian Hakkapellitta 7 and 7 SUVs, they got a maximum of 1-2 spikes from each wheel in 4 winter seasons! At the beginning of November 2022 (before, everything somehow had no time) handed over this pair of wheels for examination to the branch of the company "Wheels for nothing" (the official representative of Continental in our region) in my city so that they could send them to the claims department due to a manufacturing defect - 2 years from production date has not yet passed. And now the most pleasant. Yesterday, 11/10/20, I received a new pair of tires in exchange! I want to express my gratitude for this to Continental itself, the company "Wheels for nothing", and of course, I would like to separately thank all the employees and management of this company for their promptness in resolving my issue and a very good attitude towards customers, and most importantly for a pleasant end result! During the winter season 2022-2022, about 10-12 spikes fell out of the front wheels, which were on the rear axle in the winter season 2022-2022, which can be considered an acceptable result of their use! The tires that I received for replacement under warranty (this winter they were installed on the rear axle) are in excellent condition, they look like new, all the spikes are in place!

Pros
  • In September 2022, wonderful, as I thought at the time, absolutely new Continental 215/65/R16 tires were bought, ordinary metal spikes. The road is well-kept, both on asphalt and on snow. I did not experience any problems when starting, driving and braking on ice, the approximate mileage for the winter season was 4,000 km.
Cons
  • Departure on these wheels only 1 winter! More than 50% of the spikes fell out on the drive wheels, and this is taking into account that I ran in these tires for at least 700 km, if not more. At the same time, the tires from the rear axle are like new (the car has front-wheel drive). The most unpleasant thing is that the guarantee for the loss of spikes turns out to be valid only for the first two months.
