Review on Roadpro 12V Fused Replacement Cigarette Lighter Plug with Leads - Black (RPPS-225) by Andargie Waiker

I have a tire pump that plugs into the cigarette lighter and the adapter needs to be replaced. I didn't realize that this adapter only comes with a 2A fuse. I soldered on my new adapter and nothing happened when I turned on the air pump. 2A fuse blown. I didn't know if I had wired it wrong or if the fuse on the air pump or on the car had blown. Well burst small 2A. I read here that others have upgraded the fuse to a larger size so I put a 20A in it. I didn't have 15A fuses but I will buy this size for backup. My air pump has a fuse and my car has a cigarette lighter fuse so I didn't think the 20A setting would do any harm. The faulty adapter I replaced on the pump had no fuse at all. Let's see how it holds up. So far, so good.
