DO NOT BUY! Fuze is a freak. NOT ARU!

I wish I had read all the bad reviews before buying. The fuse is only 2 amps. My headlight draws about 6 or 8 amps. Needless to say, it exploded immediately. No problem, I thought I had a lot of 10 amp fuses. That's when I discovered that this holder is an odd size. The AGC fuse is approximately 1/8 inch too long to replace the original fuse that came with the holder. It compresses the spring in the holder, after which the plug does not go into the car socket. I couldn't find a replacement fuse

Avoid the Roadpro and buy CUZEC instead

I bought the Roadpro for a 12 volt compressor that I use to inflate car tires. I've read a few reviews that said the adapter only comes with a 2A fuse and depending on the device you're using, the fuse will blow immediately. However, people have said that they bought and installed a more powerful amp and it worked fine. I went to two auto parts stores and searched online and couldn't find a 10 amp fuse that would fit the Roadpro. So I bought a CUZEC Heavy-Duty 15A adapter from Revain and had no

Vibration and cracking after a week

I soldered this connector into a headlight for night use on my motorcycle. The light uses a RAM ball mount with a matching ball on my handlebars to make it easier to turn on and off when the light is connected to the 12v port when needed. During the day ride I kept the flashlight in my saddlebag. After just a day of riding with the light and fork assembly in my saddlebag, I removed the assembly for installation and found that the fork had fallen apart and was cracked near the bolt holding the…

Uses a non-standard fuse inside.

The plastic case and the mechanical parts seem to be of good quality. However, this unit comes with a smaller 2A fuse, which is ridiculously small for the connected red/black wires coming out of the case. No problem, just add a bigger fuse, right? Unfortunately this box uses a custom 6x30mm fuse not found in auto parts and hardware stores as it is slightly smaller in diameter and length than the very common Bussman or Littelfuse type 3AG. 6x30mm fuses can be found online, but be aware that some

Works perfectly. I upgraded the fuse for my air tire pump

I have a tire pump that plugs into the cigarette lighter and the adapter needs to be replaced. I didn't realize that this adapter only comes with a 2A fuse. I soldered on my new adapter and nothing happened when I turned on the air pump. 2A fuse blown. I didn't know if I had wired it wrong or if the fuse on the air pump or on the car had blown. Well burst small 2A. I read here that others have upgraded the fuse to a larger size so I put a 20A in it. I didn't have 15A fuses but I will buy this…

Defective on arrival

Seemingly simple enough, in 2021 these plugs are hard to find locally. I used this to replace a connector on a portable inflator. I cut off the associated end connections and butt-connected them to the compressor, which immediately made swapping impossible, but that didn't seem like a problem at the time. Connected, connected and nothing. I opened the plug and the fuse that came from the factory blew. No big deal, plugged in another small bus fuse and tried again, still nothing. Okay so I…

Good replacement plug

I received this to replace the cigarette lighter plug I used for the video monitor in my truck. The first one I pulled from a long forgotten car that I no longer have. As I was trying to save money for what I had, as expected it was a complete failure that kept burning out. It was the cheap kind you see that comes with the cheapest 12v car accessories, with cheap plastic construction and a screw on top that broke when I first tried to check the fuse. So I broke down and spent a whopping $4 on…
