Review on Roadpro 12V Fused Replacement Cigarette Lighter Plug with Leads - Black (RPPS-225) by Bill Wieser

I received this to replace the cigarette lighter plug I used for the video monitor in my truck. The first one I pulled from a long forgotten car that I no longer have. As I was trying to save money for what I had, as expected it was a complete failure that kept burning out. It was the cheap kind you see that comes with the cheapest 12v car accessories, with cheap plastic construction and a screw on top that broke when I first tried to check the fuse. So I broke down and spent a whopping $4 on one of them. The plastic is still plastic but feels thicker and the case shape and design is better engineered. This is a better connector with a thicker wire. And the light is a nice plus so you know it's getting power. The cable could have been longer and I wasn't able to use the established connections, but I found it easy enough to work with. If I need another I'll probably order another with a longer cable, but I knew I was buying and I didn't need much. In any case, it fits perfectly into the socket and works as expected, the fuse doesn't blow. So I'm a pretty lucky guy.
