As you can see in my video I used this input to power my school bus which turned into a camper van. This was an easy install: you just have to drill a hole in the side of your car if you don't already have one, connect the wires to the unit (I used 6 gauge thick wire that I recall) and then mount the Inlet so that the tongue of the device goes through your hole. Please note that you can buy these 30 or 50 amp power supplies and there is some debate in the RV community as to which is better. I settled on a 50 amp unit (this one) and then bought a fairly affordable adapter in case I just want to connect to a 30 amp AC source. So I'm protected in any case. To install this unit you will need some basic wiring knowledge, but connecting the wires is fairly easy. Door seals hold water well.
