Be careful when purchasing this type of perch for your feathered friend. Some birds like my GCC eat cotton fiber. Don't just chew - EAT. Being on a budget, I didn't want to just throw them in the trash, so I bought a cheap blanket from Kmart ($2), cut it, and covered the perch to hide the cotton fibers. My GCC will not chew on blanket fabric. The perch coating made it usable and safe for my bird. It is not the fault of the manufacturer of this product that some birds may damage these perches, hence I am not giving any stars. The concept of these perches is fantastic. In addition to my GCC, I have a cockatiel that will walk on these groupers without chewing on them. It's just a matter of judging how destructive your feathered friend is.
