Review on Enhancing Indoor Air Quality with IAQ MAX Monitor Data Logger: A Comprehensive Monitoring Solution by Reginald Pitt

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very good CO2 meter, useful for checking air freshness during Covid.

This is a good CO2 meter. It is very sensitive and easy to use. There is a good self-calibration function. If you leave it in a room where there are no people, it will automatically calibrate to the minimum baseline. If you are in a small room with the monitor after calibration, you will quickly see it increase to around 600. I see reviews of it not responding, I can say with certainty that it is broken and return it. I found that our bedroom darkens the air. or open windows increases to 1500 per night, which is the threshold above which you can see some effects. I took it to the office because I have a small office but I was surprised it never surpassed 600, I had very good ventilation and I didn't know that. One of the best ways to use them is to check for good ventilation. A score below 700 indicates good air exchange and reduces the risk of transmitting airborne diseases. This is very useful for offices and schools during Covid. I had some small problems. A very bright screen is good, but not for the bedroom. I want them to turn on the dimming option. The only solution is to lay it face down at night. The battery is good but lasts an hour or two. It is designed to stay connected to the network. The electronics get too hot for a reliable temperature measurement. You can set an offset, but you won't get a reliable room temperature. Maybe in the updated design they can move the temperature sensor to the end of the foot? Pros: - Self-calibration - Sensitive direct CO2 detection - Bright screen - Battery logging option Negatives: - Bright screen, no dimming - Electronics hot and warm temp sensor

Pros
  • Large LCD display for CO2, temperature, %RH and barometric pressure
Cons
  • Big and chunky
