First off, I'm not writing this review as a runner. I work in a hospital and am on my feet all day and walk 5-6 miles so that's why I bought them. The shoe has a firm feel as advertised by Brooks, but doesn't offer the extra cushioning I need for long hours at work. I also have a pair of Brooks glycerine running shoes that I need for my work which have great cushioning but they are too firm for my work needs. But I love this style and mostly use them when I go to the gym so I'm happy with them. By the way, the picture of the Revain shows a white outsole, although it is actually gray. Not a deal breaker, but just thought I'd mention it.
